An order from a sweet and thoughtful son for his mom’s birthday!

He ordered 3 arrangements with each different card message: “Happy” “Birthday” “Mom!”  At the time of delivery, we wanted to present 3 arrangements not ruining his good intention: the “Happy” arrangement should be the first one  the mom would see, then the “Birthday” and lastly, we brought the “Mom!” arrangement in for her. Now the mom knew who sent the flowers. She was so delighted by all the flowers in a row.

A very creative and fun way to make someone smile and happy!

Sweet son, Delighted mom.

Caring Brother

Kindness is always in the air –whatever time of year, but it becomes so much more noticeable around the Holiday season. So our newest Customer of the Day goes to an older gentleman that walked into our store not too long ago and ordered an arrangement to be delivered to his sister across the country using our FTD world-wide floral design network.

Now, a brother ordering flowers for his sister is sweet as it is, but as he told us more I was absolutely blown away by his caring thoughtfulness.

“She has Alzheimers” he told us. It was her birthday that day and the gentleman admitted he knew his sister did not remember who he was or that it was even her own birthday, but that he still wanted to send her a birthday gift –even if it had to be from a stranger.

How incredible is that. I’d like to call my sisters to just say hi today.

Our newest Customer of the Day is right in line to win Husband of the Year as well.

On the same day each month, he has come into our shop to order a wonderfully created floral arrangement for his wife –a tradition he has kept long before our shop opened and a tradition we’re sure he’ll keep long after.

Deserve a standing ovation, dear Husband of the Year! :)

Our most recent customer –or rather, customers of the day goes to a wonderful family in Granite Bay. I personally had the pleasure of getting to meet them and right away I was blown away to meet an entire family that believed in the necessity of flowers in every day life as much as me. We made beautiful arrangements for their birthdays, baptize ceremony, baby shower, welcoming gift for their parents’ visiting, “Just Because”, and more!

To them, flowers aren’t just for special events, they’re a living arrangement that can –and should, be enjoyed on a daily basis. I can definitely see how wonderful persons their children will become when they grow up with the flowers all the time!

I really should’ve taken a picture of what we sent out to one of our customers. A huge hand-tied bouquet of 44 yellow roses.

He ordered it for his wife who’s been married to him for 44 years and yellow roses are her favorite flowers. He wanted us to deliver it to the restaurant where he already made a reservation for dinner. When I got out of my van to deliver it to one of the manager there, everyone looked at the big yellow rose bouquet sitting in my arm and gave it oohs and aahs. If I could, I wanted to hide somewhere until they arrive and see how happy she would be when one of the restaurant staff brought it out to her. What a romantic and fun surprise it would be!

44 years of marriage, 44 stems of yellow roses. Love actually.

Ring, ring.

We got a very special order from a birthday lady who just turned 45 years old. She wanted to send flowers to her mom on her birthday with a cute little message, “Happy Birth-ing Day! Thanks for being there.”

What a wonderful message and great gift. Not to mention what a sweet daughter our customer is!

I’ve been a floral designer for many years and never thought about sending flowers to my mom on my birthday. I’m also a mom who knows about giving a birth and raising children..

Thanks, Elizabeth, for giving me time to think about my mom and what a birthday really means. Wish I can see more moms get flowers on their children’s birthdays just like this.

Happy Birth-ing day to your mom. And Happy Birthday to you, Elizabeth.

And mom,

I love you and thank you..
